Since 1996, A Festi di l’oliu novu has celebrated the arrival of spring by presenting the public with new olive oils and more widely with local know-how and talents. The village has been involved for some time in a process of renovation of the olive grove and enhancement of olive cultivation. Saint Lucia of Tallano is indeed a territory renowned for the quality of its olive oil because the altitude is optimum for the cultivation of the much appreciated “ghermana d’Alta Rocca”. The olives are harvested at maturity and give a golden oil unanimously appreciated.
